An article in the Sept. 4 edition of the Chinook Observer titled ‘New DNA evidence being tested in 2010 Trooper shooting case’ incorrectly characterized George Hill’s testimony. Hill was never able to identify the person who shot Scott Johnson.

An article in the Sept. 4 issue of the Chinook Observer ‘spartina refuge dies after spraying’ incorrectly listed the ingredients for the herbicide Polaris. The primary ingredient is imazapyr, which is the herbicide used by the Pacific County Vegetation Management Department to control spartina.
