LONG BEACH POLICEJuly 3 - At 12:57 a.m., a brush fire in the dunes was reported.

At 7:50 a.m., vandalism and malicious mischief were reported.

At 4:51 p.m., a large group was forming and the caller was concerned they were looking to "start some trouble."

At 5:34 p.m., a pickup with no tailgate with a dog in the back was racing another vehicle on the beach. The dog was thrown out in the process.

At 9:08 p.m., witnesses described a Toyota Forerunner with people throwing bottle rockets out the window.

At 11:04 p.m., several people were burning city-owned tables on the beach.

At 11:52 p.m., a man reported his wife had assaulted him and "assaulted the garage" as well.

July 4 - At 12:42 a.m., a minor detained for an alcohol offense reportedly had a broken hand.

At 10:18 a.m., a man was reported to be discharging a rifle (possibly an air rifle) on the beach.

At 1:13 p.m., someone reported a Blazer towing a kneeboarder in the surf.

At 2:02 p.m., a surf rescue was underway.

At 4:21 p.m., a dune grass fire was reported.

At 5:54 p.m., a narcotics complaint was received.

A vehicle prowl, reported at 7:27 p.m., resulted in the loss of $200 and an ATM card.

A hit-and-run accident was reported at 7:45 p.m.

A surf rescue was reported at 8:38 p.m.

Numerous fireworks complaints were received throughout the evening.

July 5 - A minor in possession was reported at 12:53 a.m.

At 1:03 a.m., an officer was requested regarding a large beach party that was getting noisy.

A narcotics complaint was reported at 2:04 a.m., with the person in possession of marijuana.

At 8:18 a.m., theft of backpack that contained numerous items including credit cards was reported.

A sex offense was reported at 1:25 p.m.

At 1:46 p.m., an alternator and battery charger were reported stolen.

At 6:45 p.m., three males, "all bloody" were reported. One had a possible broken nose.

July 6 - At 10:56 a.m., someone hit in the face by a male at approx. 11:30 p.m., on Saturday was reported to be at a hospital in Oregon for treatment.

Two bicycles were found at 11:01 a.m. They were turned in to the Long Beach police.

A possible suicidal person was reported at 3:37 p.m.

Numerous fireworks complaints were received at 10:03 p.m. and on until midnight.

July 7 - Theft of solar driveway lights and attempted theft of a large rock was reported at 10:17 a.m.

July 9 - A surf rescue was reported in progress at 5:55 p.m.

At 10:04 p.m., someone reported a "fight brewing" with lots of people yelling and carrying on.

Possible drug activity was reported at 11:15 p.m.

PACIFIC COUNTY SHERIFFJuly 3 - At 12:32 a.m., someone reported an intoxicated neighbor causing problems at SR-103 and Cranberry Rd.

At 1:22 a.m., several vehicles were reported to be going through barriers in Ocean Park.

A party with numerous minors in attendance was reported in Ocean Park at 3:56 a.m.

A 1991 GMC truck was reported stolen from Rushlight at 10:03 a.m.

A hit-and-run accident in Seaview was reported at 12:27 p.m.

A quarter horse was reported missing in Raymond at 4:42 p.m.

Disorderly conduct was reported in Ocean Park at 6:21 p.m., with individuals at the home using foul language and being very loud.

At 6:23 p.m., someone reported bottle rockets being fired near propane tanks in Ocean Park.

At 9:04 p.m., a woman advised there was a naked man behind her house in Seaview yelling for help.

At 9:22 p.m., someone reported juveniles shooting off "improvised" fireworks in Seaview.

Several fireworks complaints were received from the vicinity of SR1-3 and 170th Place. Additional complaints were received from the Surfside area.

At 11:03 p.m., a bear was reported to be digging through garbage in Surfside.

At 11:13 p.m., a man was sleeping outside a business in Naselle and the business owner asked that he be removed.

At 11:35 p.m., damage to a 2001 Ford was reported. Fireworks apparently hit the front, side and went into the vehicle.

July 4 - At 5:45 a.m., a prowler was reported in Oceanside. A homeowner reported waking up to find someone trying to open his bedroom window. The homeowner followed the prowler to the beach and saw him get into a red Cadillac that was stuck on the beach.

At 9:42 a.m., a crew was called to reset stop signs pulled up in Ocean Park.

At 1:27 p.m., someone reported two teens in the dunes near Klipsan Beach setting off bottle rockets.

An intoxicated man was reported in Bay Center at 3:47 p.m. The man, who was reported to be drinking whiskey, was driving an SUV.

A brush fire was reported in the dunes near Surfside at 9:01 p.m.

At 9:13 p.m., it was reported that approximately 20 people were trying to access the beach across private property.

At 9:29 p.m., a bear was reported in a garage in Ocean Park.

July 5 - A loud party with loud fireworks was reported in Sunset Sands at 1:27 a.m., and another call on the same party was received at 3:43 a.m.

At 10:02 a.m., people were reported to be sleeping in a Ford Tempo parked in Seaview.

An on-going problem with a peeping Tom was reported at 12:31 p.m.

A vehicle accident with entrapment was reported at 2 p.m. The car was reported to be about 40 yards over a bank.

Three vehicle prowls were reported in Menlo with a shotgun and shells among the items missing.

At 5:55 p.m., in Surfside a transient female was reported to be squatting on private property. She was said to be "traveling by bicycle with three large dogs."

July 6 - At 12:01 p.m., a burglary was reported in Raymond.

Threats were reported in Ocean Park at 4:09 p.m.

At 5:38 p.m., a burglary was reported in North Cove. Someone allegedly broke into a home a "stole a bunch of guns."

At 8:28 p.m., a resident of east Stringtown Rd., reported getting bitten by a neighbor's dog.

July 7 - Vandalism was reported in Ocean Park. Someone threw a rock and broke a vehicle window.

At 2:33 p.m., theft of a stainless steel sink was reported in Seaview.

At 6:59 p.m., three males attempted to accost three females, approximately 12-years-old, and invited them to get into their car.

July 8 - At 8:31 a.m., a man came out of the woods, walked up to a home and hosed himself off then left on foot.

Theft of fuel from a storage tank was reported at 9:09 a.m. Empty beer cans were left behind.

At 3:08 p.m., someone had tapped into power at a private residence.

At 6:11 p.m., it was reported that people were harassing a baby seal.

July 9 - At 11:30 a.m., a burglary was reported to a vacation home. The owners noted that it appears someone has slept in the home and several keys were missing.

Theft of power from an outbuilding was reported at 5:59 p.m.

Fireworks were being shot off in Klipsan Beach at 9:57 p.m.

Deputies responded to 248 incidents during the week.
