Ervin Edwin Hauck

LONG BEACH - Naselle resident Ervin E. Hauck, 74, died Feb. 7, 2006, in Long Beach. The son of John and Amelia (Roesler) Hauck, he was born April 27, 1931, in Oregon City, Ore. He attended Eastham Elementary and graduated from Oregon City High School where he excelled in baseball.

Following high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at the Naselle Radar Station. In Naselle he met Alice Johnson and they were married Nov. 27, 1952. Upon completion of his military duty, the couple settled in Naselle where he became a timber faller for Johnson Brothers Logging and later several other logging companies.
