CHINOOK - Nathaniel Dust, age 26 of Seaview was killed in a one-car accident five miles north of the Oregon State line. According to the Washington State Patrol report at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 a 1994 Ford Explorer that Dust was driving left the roadway to the right, crossed the northbound shoulder and sidewalk and struck a power pole and then the side of a church, rolled once, and came to rest on its top 40 feet south of Cherry Street in Chinook, Wash.

Christopher Rowe, age 22 of Ashland, Ore., a passenger, was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital after suffering back and neck pain. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Seat belts were in use and it was unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.

Next of kin were notified. The vehicle was considered a total lost and towed by Hill Auto Body. WSP trooper Steve Eastham investigated
