PENINSULA - Pacific County Sheriff's Office deputies were involved in a high-speed pursuit Monday. The case began at about 11:15 a.m. when deputies began pursuing a vehicle just north of 170th and Sandridge Road suspected to have been stolen from the Chinook area. According to the report on the incident, "the vehicle continued northbound at a high rate of speed, 80 to 90 miles per hour, then crashed near 212th and Sandridge while attempting to elude the deputy."
The driver, Andrea Baxter, 24, from Chinook, and a passenger were taken to Ocean Beach Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
