Former sheriff honored for service

SPOKANE — At the 2011 Spring Exposition and Training Conference of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC), former Pacific County Sheriff John Didion was awarded a life membership. Life members are individuals who have rendered outstanding service to this organization as an active member and who have distinguished themselves by deed or act on behalf of the objectives or principle of this organization on behalf of the membership thereof.

Didion has been a member of WASPC since 1999, served on the WASPC executive board since May 2001 and held the position of WASPC president from May 2009-May 2010.  Sheriff Didion has positively impacted the law enforcement community and the citizens of Washington by serving on a number of committees and task forces for WASPC. One of his greatest achievements was securing funding for Washington’s rural drug taskforces.
