LONG BEACH - The public is welcome to join the Washington State Grange membership team as they explore ways to make our community a better place to live, work and play by revitalizing the Long Beach Grange.

Long Beach Grange was organized Jan. 8, 1930, and has served as a community center ever since. Best known for hosting Bingo games since the '70s, the members of Long Beach Grange have a long history of service to the surrounding areas.

"Long Beach Grange has donated thousands of dollars to the community over the years," said Zula Bryan, who, along with her husband Ted, is part of the State Grange membership team. Besides monetary contributions, Long Beach Grange provided Christmas gifts to area residents for many years.

"Since the Bingo operation was halted, many in the Long Beach area thought the Grange was closed. That is simply not so," said Bryan.

The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29 at the hall, which features two floors and two large commercial kitchens. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. The hall is located at 5715 Sandridge Road in Long Beach.
