Henry "Hank" William Pyne

LONG BEACH - Henry "Hank" Pyne died Dec. 7, 2005, at age 69. He was born July 30, 1936, in Big Oak Flat, Calif., the son of Henry Edwin and Jessie Lavina (Hesketh) Pyne. He was raised in Stockton, Calif., where he attended school.

He later graduated from barber school and owned his own shop for several years. He moved to Seattle and was employed at Boeing. In 1967 he worked for Paul Yarzombek in the jukebox business in Seattle. In 1974 he became a charter boat captain for Coho Charters. He owned and operated the Reel Fun boat out of Ilwaco Harbor until 2005. He also worked in construction and painting in the off-season. A 20-year member of the Ilwaco Charter Association, he was a board member for 10 years.
