Astoria Police dispatchers issued the following special weather statement Wednesday afternoon from the National Weather Service:

A strong upper level ridge of high pressure is forecast to be over the Pacific Northwest Thursday and Friday, bringing very warm weather to the southern Washington and north Oregon coasts both days.

Temperatures will range from 75 to 85 at many locations Thursday and possibly again Friday.

A developing sea breeze may develop later Friday and bring some cooling to the coast.

People from Tillamook to Cathlamet, Wash., and all points in between are receiving the warning.
