SEAVIEW - Pacific County Fire District No. 1 responded to a reported house fire on Nov. 22 at 7:52 pm., in the 4600 block of "K" Place in Seaview.

Despite icy roads, crews arrived at 7:55 p.m., to find flames showing from a window on the first floor. Within the first five minutes of arrival, district fire crews were able to confine the fire to the room of origin. Crews additionally performed ventilation and overhaul to minimize the damage. Damage is estimated at approximately $10,000.

A total of 13 firefighters responded on five fire apparatus. No injuries were reported. The fire was caused by storing combustible materials too close to a heating device.
