ILWACO - For the fourth straight year, a team from Ilwaco High School has advanced to state Knowledge Bowl tournament.

The state tournament will be at Camas High School on Saturday, March 22 and will be host to approximately 80 teams representing all levels of high schools from around the state.

The IHS team was able to advance following a third place finish at the regional tournament in Longview at the Lower Columbia Community College.

In the final round, Ilwaco was able to squeak by a team from Castle Rock High School to claim the third and final slot for AA level high schools. Ridgefield High took top honors for the regional tournament with Woodland High taking second.

The IHS team advancing to the state tournament is made up by Chris Miskin, Garrett Binion, Grant Lehman, Megan Saunders, and Meredith Jensen. They are coached by Larry Parsons.
