Ilwaco hospital's interim chief given top post permanently

ILWACO, Wash. - Ocean Beach Hospital's board of commissioners has voted to drop the interim label from Joe Devin's title and name him as the permanent chief executive officer.

Hospital board Chairman DeWayne LaPointe said: "Joe Devin is a proven commodity with a tremendous amount of executive experience in healthcare. We've had an opportunity to work with him for several months and develop a relationship. We know who he is."

The board selected Devin as the hospital's interim chief executive in April when members decided not to renew the contract of Joseph A. DiPalo, who had served as chief executive for one year.
