OCEAN PARK - Ocean Park resident Isabelle Foley, 71, died at Ocean Beach Hospital on Oct. 15, 2003. Born in Milwaukie, Ore., on Oct. 2, 1932 she was the daughter of Tom Holmes and Ila (Teter) Holmes. She was raised in Milwaukie and attended Milwaukie High School.

In 1952 she moved to the Peninsula with her husband Junior Robert Hunt. The couple later divorced. She lived at the beach for 51 years. On July 11, 1987 she married Larry Foley, Sr. and they continued to live in Ocean Park. Mrs. Foley worked for Wiegardt Brothers Inc. of Nahcotta for over 30 years. She also worked at the Ocean Park Cafe and at one time worked for Jessie's Ilwaco Fish Company in Ilwaco.

A very friendly and outgoing person, she always had a smile for everyone. She loved cats, enjoyed her work at the canneries and the friendships she made while working, was always willing to help others. She loved her family and truly appreciated her closest friends. She was a member of the Ocean Park Eagles Lodge.

Mrs. Foley was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2000 and a son Robert C. (Bob) Hunt. She is survived by her mother Ila Teter of Long Beach; sons Rick Holmes and his wife Robin of Ocean Park, Roger Hunt and his wife Terri of Taylor, Mich., and Randy Hunt and his wife Terri of Grays River; daughter Betty Jean Cox and husband Bob Cox of Ocean Park; brother Ronald Holmes of Ocean Park; uncle Don Hendrickson of Ocean Park; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been held. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at Ocean Park Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at noon. Donations in her memory may be made to the Ocean Park Fire Department or Ocean Beach Hospital c/o Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, P.O. Box 417, Long Beach, WA 98631.
