BATTLE GROUND - Jim Rakoz, 72, died at home in Battle Ground on Sept. 13, 2004, as a result of cancer. Born Nov. 20, 1932, in Toledo, he was the son of Raymond and Ione LaMont Rakoz.

He married Jean I. Moore on Jan. 3, 1964. He lived in Naselle from 1967 to 1986, and was employed at the Naselle Youth Camp as a forestry foreman.
