OCEAN PARK The annual Hot July Nights Cruise-in will take place at the Peninsula Moose Lodge located on U Street in Ocean Park on July 14. Car show proceeds benefit Simon the Pacific County K-9 drug dog, the Boys & Girls Club of the Long Beach Peninsula, the South Pacific County Humane Society in Long Beach, and hospice.
The cruise-in, which typically attracts around 100 top rods from around the state, is a fun day for the family with tons of prizes, raffles and food.
Deadline for pre-registration is June 16. If you want to pre-register, contact Richard Babikoff at 360-798-7913, email email@example.com, or stop by the lodge and pick up a registration form. Registration will also take place from 9 a.m. to noon on July 14.
Entry fee is $10 per car. Judging will take place at 2:30 p.m., with trophy awards to follow. An old-fashioned barbecue will be from noon to 4 p.m.
Entertainment for the evening will be dancing to oldies music. There will be a dance contest from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with three prizes awarded $100, $50 and two prime rib dinners at the Moose Lodge. The event will be open to the public and snacks will be available in the evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There will be cruise-in hats, T-shirts and sweatshirts for sale at the event.
