PENINSULA - The Junior Miss Loyalty Princesses 2007 are at it again. Sixth graders McKenzie Dalton, Addie Glick, Alicia Trusty, Rachael Bartlett, Natasha George and Noelle McPhail are raising money for our local food banks who always need supplies.
Last year they collected vanloads of food and raised money that was matched by Sid's Market, Jack's Country Store and Okie's Sentry to buy food and supplies. These businesses, plus many others, allowed them to leave the "If you can spare it, We can share it" boxes to collect food for our local food banks.
Before the 2008 Jr. Miss Loyalty court is chosen, the 2007 court would like to reach the goal they set of $2,007 for their food drive. The 2007 princesses and their parents are excited to raffle off fabulous prizes donated by several generous local merchants who are helping the girls reach their goal.
A $1 donation receives one chance in the raffle. A donation of $5 receives six chances to win. Look for tickets at The Big Dipper, Best Little Hair House in Klipsan, Long Beach Retirement and Assisted Care, Simplicity Salon in Chinook and Midway Printery in Long Beach.
The 2007 Junior Miss Loyalty Court expresses many thanks to the prize sponsors: 42nd Street Café, Long Beach Retirement and Assisted Care, Best Little Hair House in Klipsan, Tips 'n Toes, Bluto's Pizza, Cranberry Castle, Hungry Harbor Grill, Dennis Company, Chautauqua Lodge, Anchor Restaurant, Tapestry Rose, Chico's Pizza Parlor, Laurie's Homestead Breakfast House, Campiche Studios, El Compadre, Corral Drive In, Sunset View Resort, Coho Charters, Doogers, Chen's Restaurant, The Depot Restaurant, The Planter Box and Marsh's Museum.
The drawing for prizes will be held April 18 at the 2008 Jr. Miss Loyalty coronation. Ticket holders need not be present to win, but must be 18 years or older to purchase a ticket. Thank you for your support and help restocking the shelves of our local food banks.
