Just Married: Janet Schmitz marries James Harper

LONG BEACH - Janet L. Schmitz and James A. Harper, both of Vancouver, were married on the south end of the Boardwalk in Long Beach on July 3, 2004.

Janet, the daughter of John and Agnes Schmitz of Woodland, is a 1991 graduate of Woodland High School, and is currently a full-time student at Washington State University.

James is the son of Alvin and Cheryl Harper of Long Beach, and the grandson of Marge Bickford of Battle Ground. He is a 1987 graduate of Kennewick High School and is employed at Bob's Merchandise and Bow Tech.

The bride's colors were purple and lavender, and she wore a strapless lavender gown. Maid of honor was Diane Schmitz, sister of the bride; flower girl was Stephanie Mars. The best man was John Lawson, and ring bearers were William Currie V and Blaze Ophar. A reception was held at the Port of Ilwaco.

Followig a brief honeymoon in Long Beach, the couple has made their home in Vancouver.
