Just Married!: Sheryl Schisler marries Ryne Rice

HAWAII - On Oct. 2, 2007, at the Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, Hawaii, Sheryl Schisler married Ryne Rice in a wedding ceremony that included a mixture of tradition and the Hawaiian heritage. The children were given Hawaiian bracelets as symbols of joining a new family through marriage.

Sheryl is the owner of Contractors-Business and Financial Management Services, LLC., of Ocean Park. A graduate of Clark Community College in Vancouver, she is the daughter of Peggy Hallas and Jerry and Dorothy Hallas of Vancouver.

Ryne is a graduate of Ilwaco High School. Currently employed at Woody's Septic Specialties, he is the son of Marti and Joe Koerner, James and Janice Rice and Mike and Darlene Grisham.

After an 11-day honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple returned home and on Oct. 13 held a reception at the Peninsula Senior Activity Center in Klipsan Beach. There were leis for the guests, hula dancers, Hawaiian food including a roasted pig, Hawaiian drinks and more. The table centerpieces were lit from below the table and contained fish to watch and enjoy throughout the evening.

The couple will make their home in Surfside Estates.
