SEAVIEW - A man in his mid-40s was treated and released at Ocean Beach Hospital Aug. 24 after he was sprayed with Mace and assaulted at about 2 a.m. at the Seaview Beach Approach.

The man and his female companion had asked three juveniles for help after their vehicle became stuck in the surf, according to Pacific County Sheriff's Office Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Clark. One of the juveniles began to assault the man and sprayed him with Mace. The man fought the juveniles and they fled in a vehicle.

"We have identified all three of the juveniles," Clark said. "One of them admitted to the assault." The woman was unharmed. The case, which could involve robbery charges, is under investigation, Clark said.
