LONG BEACH - Although the audience at the May 4 city council meeting was a little larger than usual, the meeting itself was short and sweet.

Several students from the Running Start Program in Ilwaco came to observe local politics in action as part of their political science class. With only one business item on the agenda, they completed their assignment in less than half an hour.
