OLYMPIA - The Washington State Supreme Court on Oct. 22 disbarred former Ocean Park lawyer Karl Ferrier.
Being disbarred means the court has revoked Ferrier's license to practice law as a result of illegal or unethical conduct.
The court's action follows a long disciplinary action by the Washington State Bar Association and stems from conduct from 2000 to 2002, during which time Ferrier took payments from clients without performing agreed-upon legal services.
He didn't cooperate with investigations after the bar association's Disciplinary Board became involved, which also is a violation of rules.
As part of its order, the Supreme Court ordered Ferrier to reimburse legal fees and other expenses to six Peninsula-area clients who filed a total of four complaints against him with the state bar.
