KELSO - The Lewis and Clark (Longview/Rainier) bridge will be closed to all traffic for the entire weekend beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 and continuing to 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.

Additionally, I-5 in both directions between NE 134th Street and NE 99th Street in Clark County also will be closed to all traffic during this same weekend as part of an interstate widening project in that area.

As a result, motorists wishing to cross the Columbia River should avoid I-5 and instead use the Puget Island/Cathlamet ferry, which will operate 24-hours-a-day and free of charge during the bridge closure hours, the US 101/Astoria-Megler Bridge or the I-205 bridge as alternate routes.

All bridge closures are weather dependent and may have to be cancelled and immediately rescheduled as a result. Notification about weather-related cancellations and rescheduled closures will be released as soon as the information is available. If you have questions, call the Lewis & Clark Bridge Deck Replacement Project Hotline: (866)427-4630.
