On Saturday morning Oct. 11, the Lions would like to invite everyone down to the Port of Ilwaco for a "Pancake breakfast."

Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until noon. For a "donation" of $5, you can enjoy scrambled eggs, ham, and all you can eat pancakes. Coffee, tea, milk, and since it is Cranberry Fest, you can enjoy some great cranberry juice with your breakfast.

Funds raised from this event will go to purchase material to build several benches for the restroom at the newly-constructed covered area. The covered area is where breakfast will be served.

This next spring, funds will be spent cleaning the monument at Black Lake, and re-planting some of the trees. Once we get this area cleaned, we will spend the time each year keeping it looking nice.

Donations to purchase material for the covered area restroom benches, and the cleaning of the monument at Black Lake, can be dropped off at the Lions concession trailer on the 11th, or mailed to Long Beach Lions, P.O. Box 1081, Long Beach, 98631.

If you would like to volunteer to help clean-up the monument area at Black Lake, contact Lion Al Harper at 642-8322.
