Local Coast Guard helps Boys & Girls Club

LONG BEACH - Petty Officer Matt Hobbie recently presented money to the Long Beach Boys and Girls Club from proceeds of the Haunted Bunker event held in October 2008. The men and women at Station Cape Disappointment, the National Motor Lifeboat School and Air Station Astoria as well as the Coast Guard Auxiliary worked on the bunker. Accepting the check for $900 was Mary Goelz, president of the board of directors and Debbie Coppenger, executive director of the club.
