ILWACO - IHS eighth-grader Matt Shannon, 14, is like many other students who are dealing with the aftermath of the youth suicides which took place last fall.

Shannon, who took the time to talk to the Chinook Observer while he was waiting for his afternoon bus earlier this month, said that he has noticed a number of things change since last November when a 16-year-old Seaview girl took her own life. The girl was the third youth suicide which took place last fall.
