Buoy 8 knocked off station

Buoy 8, which ordinarily marks the southwest entrance into the Columbia River navigation channel, was washed ashore about a mile north on Benson Beach in Cape Disappointment State Park last weekend. The U.S. Coast Guard Aids to Navigation team stationed at Tongue Point will restore it to the correct location. See a video of the buoy on the beach at www.chinookobserver.com.
