LONG BEACH — Peninsula Golf Course and Wildlife Center of the North Coast (WCNC) invite golfers of all skill levels to come play in their scramble tournament, Birdies + Bogeys, coming up on Sunday, Aug. 6, at Peninsula Golf Course in Long Beach. This event will benefit the local wildlife rehabilitation center by providing critical funds needed to care for, feed, and treat hundreds of injured, orphaned, and starving wild birds and other animals each year.
The golf tournament is open to two-person teams, and will include games, raffle, prizes, and more. Included in the $40 entry fee is 9-holes of golf, a donation to the center, and a BBQ picnic-style dinner provided by the Cove Restaurant. Check-in starts at 2 p.m., with a shot-gun start at 3 p.m.
To sign up to play, golfers can call Peninsula Golf Course at 360-642-2828. “Drop-in” entries may also be accepted, depending on availability.
