A drone camera shows work Wednesday, Sept. 16, on 227th Street, one of the Long Beach Peninsula's major east-west routes connecting State Route 103 and Sandridge Road. It intersects the peninsula's extensive interior north-south system of wetlands and lakes. A new culvert will facilitate better water flow. The street is expected to reopen later this week.
