NASELLE — Six teams from Naselle-Gray River Valley High School competed in last Friday’s third and final ESD 113 Knowledge Bowl meet of the regular season. The competition was held at Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen. In all, 39 teams competed representing South Bend, Willapa Valley, Wishkah Valley, Ocosta, Hoquiam, North Beach, Montesano, Elma and, Naselle.

The Naselle teams were: Meme Masterinos — Cameron Burch, Kyryn Jacot, Raja Estes, Andrew Todd, Aaron Todd and Selah Wulf; LADS — Zach Thorsen, Donny Edwards, Darian Jacot and Ethan Lindstrom; One Quarter A Man — Zanith Wulf, Hannah Saari, Emma Zimmerman and Monte Schell; Benchwarmers — Parker Dalton, Jacob Eaton, Vince Fauver and Gage Johnson; Make Naselle Great Again — Abby Moten, Jaclyn Steenerson, Hannah Wirkkala and Haley Depoe; Thunderbuddies — Ellie Chapman, Tayler Ford, Taylor Gudmundsen and Hailey Penttila.

Meme Masterinos placed sixth overall and, like the previous two meets, was first among 1B teams. As a result, Meme Masterinos has qualified to compete in a regional Knowledge Bowl meet in early February for a chance to participate at the state tournament in Darlington in late March.

LADS placed third among 1B teams and 18th overall. One Quarter A Man placed fourth among 1B teams and 20th overall. Benchwarmers placed fifth among 1B teams and 26th overall. Make Naselle Great Again and Thunderbuddies finished in 30th and 34th place respectively.
