NEMAH — On Saturday, Nov. 3 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. is this Willapa Bay community’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual chili feed, held the first week of elk hunting.

Driving along a lonely stretch of U.S. Hwy 101, it’s easy to miss the old Nemah Community Building — but you won’t want to. Situated just south of the upper Nemah River overpass, the community building sits on a little hill above the highway.

It’s all-you-can-eat for just $8 for adults and $4 for children. Proceeds go to the maintenance of this gem of a building.
