Sheriffs gather in Pacific County

SOUTH BEND — On Wednesday, June 24, sheriffs from across southwest Washington gathered the Elixar Espresso in South Bend for a regional sheriffs’ meeting hosted by Pacific County Sheriff Scott Johnson. A number of topics were discussed, including the drug take-back programs, proposed legislation, traffic safety issues, interagency-cooperation and more.

Special guest Mitch Barker, executive director of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police, gave a legislative update on issues impacting law enforcement statewide.
