CATHLAMET — The Washington State Department of Transportation Area Engineering Office in Kelso is closing both directions of State Route 4 between Risk Road and Elochoman Valley Road from Monday, Aug. 10 to Friday, Oct. 2.

During the closure crews will replace two small scale culverts two larger fish-friendly box culverts.

Eastbound detour: Turn left onto Risk Road, turn right on Foster Road, turn right on Elochoman Valley Road to return to SR 4.

Westbound Detour: Turn right onto Elochoman Valley Road, turn left on Foster Road, turn left on Risk Road to return to SR 4.

Only legal loads permitted on detour route.
