THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...

WEST CENTRAL PACIFIC COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON...

* UNTIL 945 AM PDT.

* AT 910 AM PDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM

CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED 10

MILES SOUTHWEST OF ILWACO...OR 11 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LONG BEACH...

AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...

LONG BEACH...ILWACO...NASELLE...NEMAH...OCEANSIDE...SEAVIEW AND

CHINOOK.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS IN WASHINGTON...

U. S. HIGHWAY 101 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 6 AND 36.

STATE ROUTE 4 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 1 AND 7.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! MOVE TO A BASEMENT OR AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST

FLOOR OF A STURDY BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF YOU ARE IN A MOBILE

HOME OR OUTDOORS...MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS.
