WESTPORT — Two people died Tuesday night, Jan. 16, while driving on the beach just north of the Pacific-Grays Harbor County line.

Justin M. Neidiffer, 41, of Petersburg, Alaska, was driving his black 2000 Ford F350 northbound, near the Bonge beach approach at about 10 p.m. when he struck a hole, according to a Washington State Patrol collision memo. Neidiffer’s truck became airborne, then rolled.

Neidiffer and his passenger Patricia L. Loney, 32, of Westport, both died.

Loney was reportedly wearing a seatbelt, but Neidiffer was not. State Patrol investigators said they believe drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
