2018-19 water year exceptionally dry on Washington coast

This graphic shows that “water year” precipitation for most of Pacific and Wahkiakum counties is running more than 20 inches below average, just as the area is arriving at the driest months of the year. (The “water year” starts on Oct. 1 with onset of autumn rainfall that breaks the ordinary July-September dry spell.)
