On Oct. 17 at 1:30 p.m., Rebecca J. Thompson, age 25, from Naselle was cited for third-degree theft after she allegedly shoplifted at a Long Beach business.

At 9:38 p.m., someone reported a suspicious Mazda pickup that was parked in a “weird” spot on Boulevard Avenue, and they said the driver left on foot. The responding officers found the vehicle to be one allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident on Oct. 16. The vehicle was impounded.

On Oct. 18 at 9 a.m., an assault was reported at Ilwaco High School. A charge of fourth-degree assault was sent to the Pacific County Juvenile Department against a 15-year-old female from Ocean Park.

On Oct. 19 at 6:50 p.m., a report of a female running around with a knife scaring people was received. Responding officers interviewed numerous individuals and made contact with a possible suspect. The suspect gave officers permission to search a backpack in her possession and found prescription medicines not belonging to the woman and they found a folding knife. The officers took possession of the pills and released the female.

At 8:03 p.m., Joshua S. Lavold, age 33, from Ocean Park was cited for fourth-degree assault after an incident in Long Beach.

On Oct. 20 at 11:45 p.m., after responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked in Long Beach, Scott N. Hoagland, age 29, was arrested and booked into Pacific County Jail for a Department of Corrections “no bail” warrant.
