On May 23 at 11:26 a.m., Christopher J. Bartol, age 40, from Long Beach, was booked into Pacific County Jail for rape in the second degree. His attack was interrupted by a witness.
At 2 p.m., Matthew M. Pearson, age 26, from Ocean Park, was apprehended after a foot pursuit in Long Beach. Pearson had a felony warrant issued by the Department of Corrections, and when contacted, he fled on foot. Long Beach Police Department, Pacific County Sheriffs Office units and the Department of Fish and Wildlife assisted in the chase. Pearson was taken into custody at 7th South in the dunes.
On May 24 at 11:11 a.m., a Long Beach vacation property was entered and $2,000 in property stolen.
On May 28 at 1:46 a.m., Paul B. Schumacher, age 18, and Conner M. Casasbeaux, age 18, both from Seattle, were cited for being minors in possession. After contact they were transported back to the hotel where they were staying.
At 11:40 p.m., Johnny A. Cothren Jr., age 40, from Seaview, was booking into Pacific County Jail on two misdemeanor warrants.
On May 29, malicious mischief was reported to a sign at a Long Beach business at 7:40 a.m.
At 8:24 a.m., malicious mischief was also reported at another Long Beach business, with a window broken in the incident.
Also at 8:24 a.m., another malicious mischief case was reported in Long Beach with $500 damage done to a fence.
