On Aug. 1 at 6 p.m., LBPD was called for a shoplifter who attempted to steal shirts. After a discussion with the guardian of the person and the return of the merchandise, the store decided not to press charges.
   On Aug. 3 at 1:50 p.m., officers were dispatched for shots fired and a fight. After an initial investigation it was determined that a man had shot a dog running free that attacked his two dogs that were on leashes. Police determined that the man acted appropriately and no charges were filed.
