At 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 19 in the 200 block of Second Street in Ilwaco, an officer was dispatched for a domestic violence incident. A 17-year-old female from Ilwaco was booked at the juvenile facility in Warrenton for domestic violence fourth-degree assault for slapping her mother.

On Dec. 21 at 8:19 a.m., a woman reported to the Long Beach Police Department office that she had attempted to steal a donation jar from a local restaurant. Debra A. Arbogast, age 38, from Fairfield, Calif., was cited for third-degree theft.

At 12:18 p.m., officers were dispatched for an alarm at Grays Harbor College in Ilwaco. Upon arrival they found a man watching TV in the front lounge. An investigation revealed the man, who is a student at the college, found an unlocked door and entered the facility to watch TV. The college did not want to press charges. The suspect was admonished to not enter a closed facility and was released.

At 5:21 p.m. officers were dispatched to a park in Ilwaco for a domestic violence assault in progress. After an investigation, Mickele L. Smith, age 50, from Ilwaco was booked at Pacific County Jail for domestic violence fourth-degree assault.

On Dec. 22 at 6:01 p.m., a shoplifter was reported in a Long Beach business. Dominique C. Mathevet, age 48, from Long Beach, was apprehended and cited for third-degree theft. The merchandise was returned to the store.

On Dec. 24 at 1:10 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle with a burnt out headlight. The driver, John F. Jarrett, age 43, from Vancouver, was subsequently arrested and charged with third-degree driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device as mandated. He was transported to Pacific County Jail.

At 10:28 a.m., an officer was again called to the 200 block of Second Street in Ilwaco for a domestic violence incident. The same 17-year-old female as in the earlier case was again charged to domestic violence fourth-degree assault for slapping her boyfriend and biting her mother.
