A spell of particularly warm weather inspired and delighted kids to hit the sand last Tuesday at Waikiki Beach. While some chose to run about or cool in the tides, Hunter Kaufman and Jaden Busby, RIGHT, chose to dig a hole for a pool to relax in. The temperature officially reached 93 degrees in Long Beach and nudged close to 100 in Naselle and other inland locations. In contrast, the long-range forecast for the remainder of July sees no temps above 70 here at the beach. Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday and Thursday of this week, before conditions improve.
