Broccoli Stem Appetizer 1 pound broccoli stems

2 tablespoons white vinegar

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons sesame oil

Peel the stems and slice diagonally into 1/4 inch slices. Add next three ingredients in a resealable bag. Shake to coat. Refrigerate. Shake occasionally.

To serve, drain. Pour sesame oil over broccoli and serve with toothpicks.

A great way to enjoy the part that is so often discarded. (I believe in thrift).
