1 tablespoon oil
1-1/2 pounds Italian sausage, cut into 3-inch pieces
1 small head cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
1 medium onion, cut into 1/2 inch wedges
3 medium carrots, scrubbed, quartered lengthwise and cut in 3 inch pieces
8 new potatoes, halved
1/2 cup white wine
1 can (14 ounces) chicken broth
Brown sausage, in a large skillet, turning frequently. Remove from heat. Set aside.
Spray crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Place all ingredients in crockpot with sausage on top. Stir gently, making sure all vegetables are covered with liquid. Cover. Cook on high for 3-1/2 hours. Uncover and cook till cabbage is tender.
OK to use a Dutch oven on the stovetop, or in the oven. Use the same method, checking for doneness.
