A Long Beach Police Department spotted a person carrying a 5-gallon bucket of clams at 4:30 p.m. July 24 in downtown Long Beach near the police department. The bucket contained more than 111 clams during a closed season. The officer turned the case over to Washington Fish and Wildlife officers who confiscated the clams. No other information was available on the case.
