RAYMOND - An afternoon of sharing memories in honor of Sister Elizabeth Joyce, SP, who died on March 19, 2010, is scheduled for May 22 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the social hall at St. Lawrence Church, 1112 Blake Street, Raymond, where she was pastoral life director for 11 years. Because of Sister Elizabeth, nine families now live in affordable housing on Willapa Harbor. Construction on the 10th home will begin soon. She was the driving force behind the formation of Habitat for Humanity Willapa Harbor, serving as its first president and then on the board of directors until 1997.

She was well-known throughout Pacific and Lewis counties for her rural ministry activities, and she made many friends along the way. Those friends and all who knew and loved her are invited to come share the memories at this gathering. Refreshments will be served. For additional information, call Jan McDonald at 942-3000.
