Description of Proposal: The applicants are proposing to construct approximately 780 lineal feet of 15' wide gravel road from State Route 101 to a proposed building site. Construction of the proposed road will impact approximately 7,998 square feet of Category III and Category IV wetlands and approximately 382.5 square feet of wetland buffer. Mitigation for the proposed wetland and wetland buffer area impacts consists of the restoration of approximately 3,225 square feet of wetlands and 9,391 square feet of wetland creation.

Location of Proposal: The site is located at 1248 State Route 101, near Ilwaco, Washington. The legal description of the site is Johnson's Subdivision Lot 01-A, located within Section 36, Township 10 North, Range 11 West, W.M., in Pacific County, Washington.
Lead Agency: Pacific County. The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.
This Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by September 25, 2008.
