Naselle trail committee hears preliminary report

NASELLE - The Naselle Trails Steering Committee received a preliminary report from Washington State Department of Transportation (WDOT) representative Ken Hash on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Naselle Timberland Library.

Committee members heard an update on the report which will be submitted to the committee in draft form during the second half of January 2003 according to committee spokesperson Scott Beaulaurier.

"The committee will receive the report and make its recommendations to the community in the spring of 2003," Beaulaurier said. "Community input will be received before recommendations are finalized."

Booster Bingo Friday

NASELLE - The annual Naselle Comet Booster Club Bingo will be held this Friday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. in the school commons.

Civil War re-enactment

ROSBURG - The students involved in home school education in this area viewed and participated in a depiction of the Civil War at the Rosburg School recently. The performance and presentation of the period in our history were put on be a group from Warrenton. The performers consisted of Dave and Cathryn Gager and Jeff and Tammy Kelland and the Kelland children Aria and James.
