NASELLE - The Naselle Water Company issued its 2004 Annual Water Quality Report. The report listed test data taken during the 2004 calendar year ending Dec. 31, 2004.

The reports states that the Naselle Water Company routinely monitors the water. taken from its two surface water sources Lane Creek and O'Connor Creek, for contaminants according to Federal and State Laws. The report goes on to state that "all drinking water may be reasonably expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. It is important to remember that the presence of these contaminants does not necessarily pose a health risk."

The report states, "The Naselle Water Company water system had no violations in 2004." Out of testing for over 100 contaminants, only six were detected in the local water system and these are listed on a table which is part of the report. Of the six contaminants detected, none exceeded the MCL (Maximum Contaminant Level) which requires action to be taken.

The Water Company urges anyone with questions about the report or about the water system in general to contact them at telephone number 484-3815 or to attend a Water Company meeting held the first Wednesday of each month, 7 p.m., at the Naselle Water Company office, 318 Knappton Road.
