ILWACO - A "public scoping" meeting to discuss the potential development of waterfront park at the Station Camp site on the Columbia River east of the Chinook Tunnel will be Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Ilwaco City Council chambers.

Background information and an overview of the proposed schedule and scope of work at the site will be presented.

Participants will be asked to provide input on the environmental elements of the site to determine the project's impact on transportation, stormwater, wetlands, salmon, historic and cultural resources and aesthetics.

Station Camp is considered by many to be the most important Lewis and Clark site in Washington.
