SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AND SEPA DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

Description of Proposal: The applicants are proposing to dredge approximately 20,000 cubic yards annually from the Port of Chinook Boat Basin for each of the next five (5) years. All dredge spoils will be placed within an upland dredge spoil disposal site located adjacent to the Port of Chinook Boat Basin, which has been utilized in the past for the placement of dredge spoils.

Proponent(s): Port of Chinook. Location of Proposal: The project site is commonly referred to as the Port of Chinook and is described as Tax Lot 534, located within Section 17, Township 9N, Range 10W, W.M., Pacific County, Washington.

Lead Agency: Pacific County Department of Community Development, 7013 Sandridge Road, Long Beach, WA 98631. The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.

Any person desiring to express his or her views or to be notified of the action taken on this application should notify Matt Reider, Planner, Pacific County Department of Community Development, 7013 Sandridge Road, Long Beach, WA 98631. According to the guidelines contained within Section 24.7, of the Pacific County Shoreline Master Program, an administrative hearing will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, on October 22, 2013, at the Pacific County Meeting Room A located at 7013 Sandridge Road, Long Beach, Washington.

This Determination of Non-Significance is issued under WAC 197-11-340 (2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by October 21, 2013.
