NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of Public Utility District No. One of Wahkiakum County, Washington, will hold a hearing on proposed water and electric rates of the District's Water Systems and Electric System on Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at 10:00 A.M., or as soon thereafter as is practical, during the District's regularly scheduled meeting, in the meeting room of the District at its Offices at 45 River Street, Cathlamet, Washington.

A second hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. at the Rosburg Community Hall located at 28 Rosburg Community Hall Road, Rosburg, WA 98643.

The rates to be considered include changing the monthly charge for 100-watt area lights to $9.00 per month from the existing rate of $6.44; and for the 200-watt area lights to $12.00 per month from $9.08; changing the pole contact charge to $15.00 per pole from $10.00; increasing the water system development fee to $3,500.00 from $2,100.00; and, increasing the retired meter connect fee from $500.00 from $275.00.

A copy of the proposed rates may be obtained at the District's office at 45 River Street, Cathlamet, Washington, during normal business hours. The public and all customers of the water systems and electric system are invited and encouraged to attend the hearing.
